The disappearance of traditional values and life-styles.

The bible tells the story of Cain and Abel two brothers. Both offering products collected and produced to god. Cain the products of the land, he is a farmer and Abel a sheep being a nomad (I gen. 4, 3).The lord paid more attention to the gift of Abel the Nomad and Cain get jealous, they argue and Cain kills his brother. A Farmer killing his brother being a nomad, reason he is jealous. However to complicate things even more the Lord prohibits to respond to the crime. Anyone who will put a hand to Cain will suffer 7 fold. That Cain could not be beaten.

Cain left for the land of Nod, east of Eden. His son Henoch build the first important city called after him. It is in fact the only record we have about the upheavals this evolution caused, the disappearance of traditional values and life-styles, the breaking up and dislocations of clans and tribes. The end of the (experimental) paradise and beginning & development of the man made world. The agriculturists were from the beginning, innovative folk, starting to produce tools and arms, settling down, planted seeds, domesticating and manipulated animals. To be able to do so they had to grab land, land that had been in use by everyone for eons. Man is not the only one using the land there are animals, birds, plants and all other living creatures thereon. Using force to take and hold on to it. Not just waste land but the best they could put there hands on.

In order to be able to grow vegetables, fruit, and grain the land has to stay fertile. When land is in Use for mono crops it wills loss its fertility in a relative short Time.

During flooding the land will rejuvenate and the deposits in clay add to it. Only land that would be flooded on a regular basis could be used.

With it comes the documentation of the Erecting wall, fences, traps for animals, killing trespassers, slavery and wars, villages and Cities. Those who questioned the value-its foundations, its longevity, the uses to which it was being put-were decried as everything from anti-national to puritanical, eventually killed. The reality of the man made society, to the development of the (industrial) State, the obsession with material goods, failed to align what is best for humanity and shared values. The traditional forager is no match for these technical and organized humans who are in addition now aggressive, violent, repressive and therefore dangerous. The hunter/collectors being no match for these farmers and city people and like all other nature oriented people do and did before, getting out of harms way, retreating. Other however who did decide to stay had to join the agriculturists/city. Anyone who is keeping a garden knows hoe much hard work and time it takes to keep it organized and going. The early farmers did so too and got bored; slavery was introduced as form of cheap labor and to keep going. The mobility of the captured nomadic peoples at that stage a serious problem because they would run of by the first opportunity and vanish. This problem was overcome by killing the male and holding on to the woman with preferably one or more small children. They had a low mobility and could be tracked easily.
