Seaweed photosynthesises:

Seaweed and algae use light energy, water and carbon dioxide to synthesise organic carbon and oxygen. Seaweeds do not have roots and therefore need to take up nutrients from the surrounding water through uptake sites (thallus) in their surface. The appearance of tiny organisms with the ability to convert sunlight, warmth, water and minerals into protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and amino acids marked the beginning of life. A symbiotic entanglement between what later became known as a plant and a bacteria and therefore special.

Phytoplankton or micro algae, the single-cell plants are the basis of all other life forms on planet earth, seaweeds are a macro algae and part of the 'vegetation' of the ocean. Only when submerged in water they can take up nutrients. Uptake of nutrients is an active process.

The powers of seaweed have been drawn upon for thousands of years, their known ability to; prolong life, prevent; disease, and impart beauty & health. Seaweed & algae contain the full spectrum of organic (photo-synthetic) vitamins, all minerals and 78 natural ionic sea trace minerals, lipids, plant sterols, amino acids.

Omega 3's and 6's, anti-oxidants, growth hormones, poly-phenols i.e. in short, it contains almost everything one needs to sustain life. Plants and seaweed can convert an organic and metallic minerals which can be toxic, into colloids with a natural, negative electric charge. Negatively charged minerals have been shown to increase the transport and bioavailability of other foods and supplements.

*Energizing the body

*Compensate for any deficiency in amino acids/fatty acids.

*Vitamin and mineral imbalances, complete source of minerals,

semi-pre-digested. (Availability of minerals in your body)

*To stimulating the digestion contains live enzymes.

*Stimulate antioxidant activity (availability of different anti oxidants)

*Pollution antidote.

Sea Plants therefore seen as more potent than land plant because it including many organic compounds known as phyto (plant) chemicals. However many contend that the optimal levels of these compounds can be obtained in a normal diet and that the effect of additional amounts is negligible but questionable. However there are demographic studies which show that people who regularly incorporate edible seaweed's into their diets have fewer problems from mineral depletion and live longer than other peoples.( Japans is a good example)

The use of a small amount of seaweed one a daily basis far better than irregular amounts occasionally. The key to the bacterial dietary adaptation is continual exposure to the new food material. Consequently, positive therapeutic changes caused by eating seaweeds regularly may take several weeks to months before becoming obvious.

Individuals most likely to develop more severe symptoms are

those with undeveloped or compromised immune function such as infants, seniors and the chronically ill. People who live in poverty are also at risk because they tend to be malnourished. One problem is that the physiological properties of phyto-

nutrients, glyco-nutrients and polysaccharide are difficult to predict due to there diversity in composition and because they do effect different physicochemical properties such as fermentation, water-holding capacity, viscosity, and bile acid binding to name a few. Referenced data indicates that algal dietary fibre has important functional activities, such as antioxidant, anti-mutagenic and anticoagulant effect, anti-tumour activity, and plays an important role in the modification of lipid metabolism in human body.

The difference, Seaweed/algae contain, starch, Floridian, celluloses, pectin compounds while plants contain mainly celluloses, all seaweeds contain hydrocolloids. Green type Seaweed/algae contains Starch, Polysaccharides or celluloses. Brown type Seaweed/algae contains

Laminarin, celluloses and algin. Red type Seaweed/algae contain, starch, floridean, celluloses, pectin compounds. Polyphenols are also known as potent natural antioxidants. They are important to your health because they have been shown to prevent cellular damage caused by highly reactive molecules known as "free radicals".

The class of glyconutritionals as present in seaweed have recently been found to be the essential link needed for the trillions of cells of the body needed to communicate with each

other. These glyconutrients can give all adults and children who consume them a greater chance to function at there best both physically.  Only a small part of there properties understood/discovered and many more revalations to come, in addition other nutrients like the essential amino acids, cholin or the essential fatty acids.

Although therapeutic seaweed constituents can and have been extracted and are available for used in cases of chronic conditions, the main reason for the variability in response to infection among the general population has to do with immune function.

The micronutrients and electrolytes in seaweed are exactly what human cell membranes need to carry out their metabolism. Not surprisingly, the composition of human plasma, or fluid surrounding cell membranes, is similar to that of seawater. Relying solely on land-based food sources may lead to deficiencies in these micronutrients and electrolytes. While transient sub-optimal nutrition may be forgiven, a constant diet lacking in these micronutrients will adversely affect every function, structure, and detoxification functions of the human cell.

While in the East seaweed has been used to a much larger content as food, in the West most are added as extracts to food for there structural qualities and in addition for use in cosmetics and to produce drugs and medicines.

While pharmaceuticals have their value, we should not forget the well-documented, non-toxic and inexpensive healing properties of whole/natural foods. The separation between food, medicine and drugs is in fact an artificial one. Created to protect the Western health system, its patents, and commercial profits/interests. Turning "The pharmaceutical Industry", in the largest and most profitable industry on earth.

Now more than ever, supplementation is crucial for health, because minerals have been depleted from our soils, and other nutrients are destroyed in the processing & cooking of

Almost all the foods we eat. This type of malnutrition is often the cause of pain and chronic degenerative diseases. Have you heard the phrase "over-fed but under-nourished The future of the human race is challenged more and more by manmade hazards: electromagnet "smog" (negative energy waves from technology) depleting our brain chemistry and immune systems, industrial toxins in our bodies, processed compounds portrayed as food on the grocery shelves, and the high stress demands of family and work.

My feeling has always been that our Heavenly Father would not design a body that requires unusual potions from far-away places to make us healthy.

The high density of nutrients as found in seaweed, algae and marine phytoplankton is extremely important for many reasons. Perhaps the most important is that these nutrients maintain human cell membranes in structure and function but also vital for cell detoxification, and for the overall metabolism of human cells including cell rejuvenation.

The Glyconutrient's Role in People and Animals' Health

In test after test conducted at leading institutes around the world, Glyco-nutritionals (Phytonutrients, Saccharides) have been shown to lower cholesterol, increase lean muscle mass, decrease body fat, accelerate wound healing, ease allergy symptoms, and allay autoimmune diseases such as arthritis, psoriasis, and diabetes.

Bacterial infections, including the recurrent ear infections that plague toddlers, often respond remarkably to saccharides, as do many viruses--from the common cold to the flu, from herpes to HIV. The debilitating symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and Gulf War syndrome frequently abate after adding saccharides.

And, for cancer patients, saccharides mitigate the toxic effects of radiation and chemotherapy--while augmenting their cancer-killing effects, resulting in prolonged survival and improved quality of life. Marine Phytoplankton and Goji (Lycium) Berries are a rich source of saccharides/glyconutrients.

The available nutrients of the sea combined with the energy of the sun. Not only minerals but hundred's of different these so-called phytochemicals.

Looking good and feeling great! Wellness means more than just physical health. You are 'well' when you have peace of mind about your family and finances, when you also have time to pursue what matters most in your life. Health and Wellness is important to everyone.
